The theme of the collection “Harmonika”
is inspired
by the accordion in its shapes and functions. Harmonika is the Croatian
word for the accordion.
Folding in different ways create shapes and patterns
in the bags. As in the accordion the folding provide
the bags volume without making them big. The part
of the collection with prints is inspired by the buttons and keys
of the instrument. Smart solutions are used
as a part of the artistic expression and give the collection a simple
and beautiful impression.
Lines and direction are important style elements
in
the bags as well as in the matching cases. The colouring is bright
rather than dim but is dominated by black and white. Plastic materials
are favoured as they retain the shape and can be used for prints.
News for this collection is that Lea has designed a part of the
collection without printed patterns. However, the lace and hand
painted wooden button on these
bags creates a pattern.
